What Is Methyl p-toluenesulfonate?
It is a white crystal with hygroscopicity. The melting point of 28-29ºC, the boiling point of 292ºC, 146-147ºC (1.2 kPa), and the relative density of 1.231 (20 / 4ºC). Soluble in ethanol, ether, and benzene, insoluble in water.
